EPA has many programs and resources to assist a company or individual in developing environmental technology.

Research Grants

EPA supports leading edge extramural research in exposure, effects, risk assessment, and risk management through competitions for STAR grants, fellowships, and research contracts under the Small Business Innovative Research Program.

The Office of Research and Development

Science at EPA provides the foundation for credible decision-making to safeguard human health and ecosystems from environmental pollutants. The Office of Research and Development (ORD) is the scientific research arm of EPA, whose leading-edge research helps provide the solid underpinning of science and technology for the Agency.

The Office of Small Business Programs

EPA’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) advocates and fosters opportunities for direct and indirect partnerships, contracts, and sub-agreements for small businesses and socio-economically disadvantaged businesses. Additionally, OSBP furthers its overall small business advocacy through the Agency's Asbestos and Small Business Ombudsman, where the regulatory and environmental compliance concerns of small businesses are addressed.

Please note that, in accordance with the Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch (Part 5 Code of Federal Regulations, 2635.702(c)), the EPA does not test or endorse commercial products, services, or enterprises.
